Filed claim in December, 2022, Have had three different reps to deal with. NO ONE answers their phone, they all hide behind voicemail. Doesn't return calls or answer emails. All their reps work from home, including a supervisor, so there is no reliabilty that they are working. Four months and claim is still not completed. Also my premium doubled this year.

Bad customer service

I called this morning and spoke to a person named Jordan; I asked could I get a copy of my policy with a breakdown of what I'm paying for emailed to me at dcrutcher1077@***.com or dcrutcher1077@***.com and I have yet to receive the email and the person was rude and especially when I asked for his name and I would be talking to someone about his attitude.

No one has called me back about my home being damaged from a city wire and it damaged 3 other homes and these People named Robin Reed or Patrick Sharpe has not returned my calls or email

I wasn't home and came home to the situation on March 30,2021 it is now July 19th 2021 and still no word on the date they will payout . Everytime I call it automatically hangs me up so i believe they have me on block, They told me i had to find my own company to do the work so i did and now they dont answer or call me back. Robin Reed contacted me on June 29,2020 . stating that it will take up to 7-10 days da.

My insurance was was canceled after 17 years

After 17 years, My homeowners insurance, ASI Underwriters doing business as Progressive Home, just canceled my insurance and their excuse is Reduction of Hurricane Exposure. I called and their explanation is that they have too many homes in the area and they need to protect themselves!!! What a lame excuse to a 17 years customer! This is a lie. I strongly believe they are getting rid of customers that are paying a lower premium. People, DO NOT buy insurance from ASI, Progressive. They will kick you out as soon as you are not paying their high rates!!!

Horrible adjuster , terrible home owner insurance

In the middle of a terrible situation after a leak in my kitchen and my adjuster has made a bad situation into a personal *** She has made mistakes every step of the way and now we are one month after the claim and no resolution in site. My house is not livable and dangerous for my son and dogs due to her delay and bad choices. She sent a mitigating company out to begin the cleaning and drying 2 hours after they left I received a phone call at work from the company saying they have never dealt with anyone like her and that I need to be very careful and that she was dancing around all the issues and would not give the go ahead to do any of the work needed and said she wanted to see it for herself. One week later she arrived and agreed that the work Needed to be done. She had to set up an emergency visit from another mitigation company who could not do the work for another 5 days The water sat for so long they had to rip out my kitchen, all my floors and cut drywall Halfway up my walls and left it like that. To abbreviate this its been 2 weeks The reconstruction crew has been out and she still has not helped reach a resolution offering $860 to replace all The damage in my home. Her excuse is that she has never received a report from the mitigation company that has submitted 2. When I reached out to them they let me know she dropped the ball and never gave them a shell to drop the assessment in and never gave them her email or contact information and had to get that through me They now have emailed her the information through her personal email address and I still have heard nothing from her I think you guys should give her the biggest raise ever cause she is saving your company thousands by screwing me. I will likely be in an unlivable home until the end of the year now Worst insurance company ever Im looking for a phone number to make a complaint about my adjuster. Cant find one anywhere. My advice for anyone looking at your insurance company would be to not purchase ASI home insurance. And if they do have it they need to hire a public adjuster. And an attorney.

ASI covered the damages for a sewer back up in my basement in January of 2020. The same thing happened in August and now they say I don't have coverage and won't pay.

I have to put the charges for the damages to my basement on a credit card in order to get the work done now. I don't know how I'm going to pay off this big of a debt. But I have no choice because ASI refuses to honor the contract I have with them, the insurance I paid...

ASI not only won't cover the damages for the second sewer back up in my basement last month, because I supposedly don't have coverage, but now they're saying they shouldn't have paid for the damages in January either. How many insurance companies do you know of who pay out thousands of dollars on a claim without checking first to make sure the customer has coverage?

I don't know any. I had a member of my mitigation team check with ASI on day 1 when I filed the new claim. He told me I had $10,000 worth of sewer back up coverage. Otherwise the guys wouldn't have started working in my basement.

They have already done quite a bit of work only to find out ASI had changed their minds and weren't going to pay. All of the work then stopped, about a month ago. Now I'm being forced to pay out of pocket for all the damages which I can't afford to do. I'm being forced to do this before the mitigation team can take this case to arbitration.

There are no guarantees they will win their case. I'm also being forced to get the damages repaired before I can switch to another insurance company. All ASI had to do is tell me that I didn't have coverage after the first incident in January and that I could add coverage for an extra $152 a year. Instead, I get to pay at least $10,000 out of pocket.

Needless to say, I won't be renewing with ASI. They have already sent me a bill for the new premium which is about $100 more than last year. What a joke! They also tried to get me to pay the premium over the phone when I called them.

I said no thanks! I will never do business with this company again! Nor would I recommend them to anyone else either! I originally started out as a Progressive customer, but when Progressive took over ASI, they sold a lot of their customers down the river to ASI.

There are also other problems with Progressive/ASI. They are located out of state from me and it's hard to get an appointment with a claims adjuster to come out to the house. The one I talked to on the phone screamed and yelled at me, harrassed me, tried to bully me into agreeing with what she was saying so she could deny my claim. Extremely unpleasant to deal with!

There is no place on the ASI site to do a review on them. I thought I was doing a review on their site, but it turned out to be the better business bureau site under ASI's name. They have so many complaints and bad reviews on them, that I guess ASI doesn't want to hear any more of them. They also never responded to any of the bad reviews.

With my complaint to the bbb, all ASI did is acknowledge receiving a copy of my complaint. No resolution whatsoever!

Cheryl Moran was our claim person. She reacted immediately upon our calling and felt like she jumped right in to help us. She has kept us informed all the time and answers all my questions when asked. I think she is doing a great job so far

update as of 7-7-2020 They refuse to consider my request to cancel my policy and are requiring I take legal action in order to do so. That would mean hiring a lawyer to pay more than I'll get back from them if they would just refund the money to my escrow account.

They know it's not worth it for me to do so. The refuse to be flexible with their policy regardless of having proof the money came out of my escrow account.

Still attempting to get my money back. DO NOT use this company, read the reviews from other consumers.

My mortgage escrow paid them $905 for homeowner's insurance and they won't refund the money. I purchased the home 15 months ago, bitter divorce, domestic violence. My ex had policy in his name and they won't cancel the policy even though he's not living in the home, no longer on the mortgage or title. I have my own insurance policy. Ex won't call to cancel the policy but IF he does, their policy is to return the money to him, not to the mortgage escrow account or myself. I contacted them in March, before renewal was due in April and they refused to cancel the policy. He refuses to call. They know this and they won't help because they would prefer to keep the money. Agent admitted this happens all the time.

Sent cancellation form to ASI for refund 3/20/20...said they didn't receive. They lie. Received check #000942**** for $.80. Now it's off to small claims court and I will be cancelling the ASI police today as well as Progressive auto policies.

When I asked about hiring a public adjuster I was told by Pamela baker that it was unnecessary to do so but I had the right they tried to convince me to go with their first contractor

Pipe bust under my house pier and beam water got between my floors through out my house adjuster came out and stated he was afraid of snakes and spider so he would not get under the house to look at the Damages instead too moisture readings from the floor which had a moister barrier underneath so water mitigation was not recommended by the adjuster the the insurance contractor comes out spend 10 minutes under the house tells me it’s a small spot told me he tore the plastic to check seems strange due to the amount of water I also saw water dripping from all corners of the house I had to crawl under neath take pictures myself and send it to the insurance when I told the asi claim adjuster Pamela baker she became angry and accused me of trying to get more work out of the contractor that was not covered I had to continue claim with her supervisor marquises Warren I had my own contractor come out they refused his estimate so a third party contractor was contacted he agreed with my contractors estimate he also told me and them their was much more hidden damages so finally they agreed to pay the claim so I called the 2 contractors who gave me the estimate they refused to do the job said they were to busy so I called sever others the estimate were twice as much I called them asked if they could provide a contractor willing to do the work they told me I had to get my own contractors another contractor refused to start the work saying their would be Many delays trying to add the additional work so in the mean time my house is rotting I had to hire a public adjuster this company is really dishonest and I believe they were working with the contractor to under pay my claim I don’t have a lot of money but I’m willing to go to court for what’s right bad faith on their part they also cancelled my insurance after my claim due to non payment of a premium they say went up but never notified my when I contacted my insurance agent he told me he put his email where mine should go he was contacted but I wasn’t I offer to pay when I made my claim they refused and canceled my insurance I also told Pamela baker about my concern the water had gone through the whole house underplayed my claim purposely

They denied my claim after 12 years of been with the company

I have had been with this company for 12 years before filing my first claims. One for my bathroom that leaked and the other for water damage on my kitchen. They denied the one on my kitchen, hired a lawyer and they finally paid. Now they canceled my insurance. They have made way more money from me than the claims I've made. Bottom line with this company, you will be a customer until you file a claim.

After taking forever on a water damage claim from a clogged pipe (that is covered)They denied the obvious claim.Sent an adjuster, Then denied, Sent a structural engineer,Then denied, Not once did either of them or the claim rep say we need to dig into this and see the clog in the pipe that caused this. No they just denied. That is what the are trained to do, Attorney has been called.

I want to cancel my American Strategic Insurance immediately. I am 81 years old and cannot afford the $809.00 that I charged on my credit card. I can barely keep up with the bills .
